Nitric Oxide Booster FAQ
The questions we hear most about EF-1 — how it works, how to take it, and what to expect.
What is EF-1 Nitric Oxide Booster?
EF-1 is a dietary supplement built around nitric oxide support. It combines L‑citrulline and beet root — two of the most-studied ingredients for supporting the body's own nitric oxide production — with circulation and adaptogenic botanicals (horny goat weed, panax ginseng, maca, and rhodiola) to support healthy blood flow, energy, and everyday stamina.*
How does EF-1 support nitric oxide and blood flow?
It works through two independent pathways, which is why the formula pairs these ingredients. L‑citrulline is converted by the body into L‑arginine, which feeds the enzyme pathway that produces nitric oxide. Beet root supplies dietary nitrates, which the body converts to nitric oxide by a separate route. Nitric oxide is the molecule that signals blood vessels to relax and widen, which supports healthy circulation.*
How long before I notice a difference?
A nitric oxide formula rewards consistency rather than a single dose. Most people take it daily for two to four weeks to gauge how it fits their routine, and the botanical and adaptogenic ingredients tend to build their support gradually over that window. Take it steadily at the same times each day for the best read.*
How and when should I take it?
The suggested use is two (2) capsules in the morning and two (2) capsules in the evening — a serving size of four capsules per day. You can take it with or without food; some people find splitting the dose morning and evening helps keep support steady through the day. Each bottle holds 120 capsules, a full 30‑day supply.
Is EF-1 a stimulant? Will it keep me awake?
No — EF-1 contains no caffeine or stimulants. The "energy" support comes from adaptogenic roots like ginseng, maca, and rhodiola, which are traditionally used to support stamina and the body's response to fatigue rather than to deliver a jolt. That's also why the evening dose is fine for most people.*
Is it safe to take every day, and can I take it with my medications?
For healthy adults, the ingredients in EF-1 are generally recognized as safe at these amounts for daily use. That said, because ingredients that support nitric oxide can affect blood vessels and blood flow, talk to your physician before taking EF-1 if you take blood-pressure medication, nitrates, blood thinners, or any prescription medication, or if you are pregnant, nursing, or have a medical condition. This is standard guidance for any nitric-oxide-focused supplement.*
Why might my urine or stool look pink or reddish?
That's a normal, harmless effect of beet root called beeturia. The natural pigments in beets can tint urine or stool a pink or reddish color in some people. It isn't a cause for concern and passes on its own — but if you're ever unsure whether a color change is from beets or something else, check with your doctor.
Is EF-1 vegetarian? Does it contain common allergens?
EF-1 is made with a plant-based vegetable capsule (HPMC) and contains no animal-derived ingredients, so it's suitable for vegetarians. The only other ingredient is microcrystalline cellulose. As always, review the full label if you have specific allergies or sensitivities, and consult your physician if you have questions.
